Bristol University Gliding Club

Bristol University Gliding Club aims to promote the sport of gliding amongst Bristol students. We work in partnership with our affiliate club, the Bristol & Gloucestershire Gliding Club, to make this fantastic sport available to everyone within the University community. The club consists of an enthusiastic member base, headed by a committee of four people. Whether you are a complete beginner or a seasoned competition pilot, BUGC has something to offer you. BUGC travels regularly to the Bristol and Gloucester Gliding Club, one of the UK's premier gliding institutions, based at Nympsfield near Stroud.

The club is affiliated with the Bristol University Athletics Union, giving our members access to all the annual AU events, including SCORE, a night of partying for all AU clubs. In addition to this, BUGC organises social events, often teaming up with the Hot-Air Ballooning and Skydiving Clubs for Air Sports Socials.
